Sibinacocha (Ausangate) Trek

A wonderfull trek in the cordillera of the white peak AUSANGATE, its located south of Cusco near lake Sibinacocha one of the highest on the andes great size and beauty, rich in wild fauna and most important, very little visited.

We start the trek from a small village named Finaya (4,900 m.a.s.l.).

On this trek we can appreciate beautyfull white peaks like Yayamari (6,050 m.a.s.l.), Ccasccara, Rinconada ausangate, Chumpe and many more after we're through the condor pass we arrive to another valley where we will have an spectacular view of the white peak Mariposa, Callangate, Colquecruz, Pucapunta, and Campa.

This trek is very rich in landscapes, and local autochthonous communities of the highlands of Cusco, we will hike by the edge of lakes Comercocha and Nuinaparayoc, the highest altitude we will reach on the Campa pass 5,000 m.a.s.l.

Schedule

Day 1.- Cusco - Finaya (8 hours on bus).
Day 2.- Finaya - Yayamari (4 hours hike).
Day 3.- Yayamari - Murmurani (5 hours hike).
Day 4.- Murmurani - Huchuy Finaya (7 hours hike).
Day 5.- Huchuy Finaya - Campa pass - Ninaparayoc (7 hours hike).
Day 6.- Ninaparayoc - Pacchanta - Cusco (4 hours hike, 5 hours drive home).
