Classic Inca Trail 4 Days/ 3 Nights
"Inka Trail" Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba. You will be picked from your Hotel around 6 am. Bus service to Km. 82 (2 hours). We start our trek escorted by native "quechua" porters going through semi-arid terrain along the Urubamba river with magnificent views of snow capped mount Veronica, later going through Llactapata, an ancient Inca. Day 2: Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo. Today the first part of the trek takes us to the inka Hamlet of Huayabamba, later going through Warmiwañuska pass(4,200m) knows as "dead woman's" pass, where there is a spectacular view of the valley below. At this pass we move from the dry ecology to the forest the highest of the tropical forest types where gnarled trees grow to two meters amid fog and low clouds, habit for a profusion of orchids. On this night, we will camp along river Pacaymayo at the bottom of the pass. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Pacaymayo – Wiñaywayna. Walking on a remarkably preserved Inka Trail passing ancient archeological sites covered by dense jungle overgrowth, later visiting the Phuyupatamarca (city above clouds) with spectacular views of snow covered Andean range, camping at Wiñaywayna, the most spectacular archeological complex during the hike. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). Day 4: Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu – Cusco. Passing through the Inti Punccu (gates of the Sun), we arrive to machupicchu the lost city of the inkas, complete guided tour, then late in the afternoon train back to Cusco. transfer to your Hotel.
